Angry Birds for the iPhone. You would have asked me a week and a half ago what angry birds was and I would have told you it was the birds in the backyard making all that squawking noise. But did that change when I was cruising through the app store for games and came across angry birds.
What really got me was the number of people who had voted positively about angry birds. There were over 5000 rating and angry birds still had a rating of a solid five stars.
So what the heck is angry birds? The story goes like this. Some pigs, in an attempt to cook some breakfast, steal the birds eggs. So in an attempt to get them back the birds launched a full out assault on the pigs.
The game works something like this. The pigs are set up safely in a series of mazes and the birds are trying to destroy the mazes and structures and squish the pigs in the process. You use a giant sling shot to fling the angry birds into the air and have them land on the pigs and their structure to collapse everything and kill the pigs.
Like any other game Angry Birds starts off simple. As you progress the level become more complex and far more difficult to break down all the structures. As the levels progress you get different kinds of birds that shoot different ways. They start to get more powerful to destroy the ever increasingly difficult levels.
That is angry birds. over a hundred levels of pure bird flinging addiction. Addiction is an understatement. Once you start to fling those angry birds you will not be able to stop. Everyone I know is completely hooked on angry birds and will pull out their iPhone any chance they get to try to get through another level.
Angry birds is a game that is available through the Apple App store for the iPhone. The cost is a mere $0.99 which so far have given me a few dozen hours of top notch entertainment. So when you have a few minutes to kill go and grab Angry Birds from the app store and start flinging.
